Spot On FilmWorks Presents Megan and Ryan’s All Day Highlights

This wedding and Reception celebration was held at the elegant Bridgewater Country Club located in Carmel Indiana. The warm sunny October day brought strong winds that held the flags straight out from the poles they were supported from. The wedding ceremony was held outdoors under a tent with the lush green golf coarse as a beautiful back drop. After the ceremony we and the photographers were able to capture some amazing footage of Megan and Ryan glowing with joy with their recent uniting as husband and wife. The reception was soon to follow indoors with elegant table settings, heart felt toasts and a live band which had everyone dancing well into the evening. The entire day was well planned and schedule by Lori Solomon of Boldy Chic Events, one of our favorite wedding coordinators. This was the second wedding we shot this year for the family of the bride as she and her sister decided to get married a few months apart during the same year. It is weddings like this that raise the bar for all the brides planning to make there day nothing less then perfect and we feel honored that we were chosen to capture and preserve it for the rest of their lives!

The wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Indianapolis Zoo. The ceremony started off with beautiful sunny weather which lasted throughout the cocktail hour then turned to rain once the reception celebration began. The weather may have changed outside but the spirit of joy and happiness inside remained high as the celebration continued throughout the night. The reception was shared with the dolphins inside the Dolphin Gallery in the center of the zoo grounds. As you walked into the long reception hall everyone was drawn in by the beautiful table settings and bright and colorful up lighting of the walls. At the opposite end of the reception was an amazing ice sculpture of two dolphins and both the bride and grooms names inscribed. This perfectly planned wedding day celebration will not soon be forgotten by any who attended!

Why Would Anyone Need to Video Their Wedding?

A wedding is more than just some casual party you spend an hour or two planning for and invite a few friends over. It is one of the most important days of your life. It’s an event that many brides have thought about all their lives and it usually takes months to plan for. The guests you invite for this special once in a life celebration are both family members and life time friends. The people you have chosen to attend will never be together in one place at the same time ever again. The detailed planning can seem endless when choosing the right dress, venue, flowers, colors, food, DJ and even how the tables are set. A wedding is not only time consuming to plan but requires a great deal of finances too.

After all the planning is completed and everything is purchased, the day finally arrives and is over in a few short hours. Most of what goes on throughout the day is merely a blur in your mind by the next morning. You try to remember your father looking at his little girl in a wedding dress for the first time with cloudy eyes filling up as he tries to hold back his tears. The first time you looked at your fiancé and realized in a few short minutes you will be pronounced husband and wife forever. Thinking back and wondering how your vows sounded as you gazed into each other’s eyes.

What would you give to be able to travel back in time whenever you want to relive that wonderful day of happiness and celebration? Capturing your wedding day on video can do just that. A professional videographer can capture and preserve both audio and video with digital clarity taking each and every special moment of your wedding day and turning it into a memory for a life time.

A professional wedding video is one item that is all too often over looked or passed off as being too expensive. Many brides may ask family members to video parts of the wedding using standard consumer video cameras and hope for the best. The one thing that is repeated time and time again from the brides who choose a professional videographer on their wedding day is how good of a decision it was having it preserved professionally for life. They like their pictures but always play their video when friends or family come over. If a picture is worth a thousand words then video with sound is priceless!

I would encourage anyone getting married to consider a professional videographer to capture their wedding day. All the time, energy, effort and money put into their wedding day would be captured and well documented for the rest of their lives. Don’t be fooled by thinking a family member or friend can video a wedding any more than them being able to shoot photos or DJ at the reception. You only have one chance to capture a moment in time and save it into a memory so don’t leave it to chance with a non-professional.

The day started with Megan and Seth getting ready at the Sheraton Hotel downtown Indianapolis. Soon after Megan and Seth had their first look at one another on the roof top of the Sheraton. The excited nervous smiles on both their faces were such a pleasure for us to capture and preserve for the rest of their lives.

After taking a few pictures we traveled over to the ceremony location held at the Center United Methodist Church on the south side of Indianapolis. The ceremony was very intimate with many of the traditional elements along with a vocal soloist who had the most amazing voice adding even more depth to the ceremony.

Shortly after the ceremony the newly weds left the church in a flood of bubbles supplied vigorously by the guests as they walked out of the doors and into their black stretched limo. The celebration portion of the evening was kicked off with a cocktail hour back at the Sheraton soon to be followed with a wonderful meal, toast and dancing.

We once again had the pleasure of working with the original Sonny Moon acting as DJ and master of ceremony. The day although long and filled with numerous activities seemed to go by so fast.

We hope everyone enjoys watching this music video sharing some of the days special moments that we were honored to capture and preserve for a life time!

Skinner/Jones All Day Highlights

We were so pleased to capture and preserve the wedding day for Stephanie and Josh. Both the wedding and reception were held at Jones Crossing located in Camby Indiana. This was the first time we shot at this location and were very pleased just how accommodating the facility and the personnel were. Stephanie looked amazing in her beautiful wedding gown and Josh was very dapper in his white tux. We once again had the pleasure to work with Andrew Scalini photography and are very excited to see his final photos.

The day before most weddings usually consists of completing final details for the next day. The walk through of the ceremony usually takes place at the location where the wedding will take place followed by a dinner with those who will be part of the wedding ceremony. We were privileged to be asked to capture those special moments which are typically overlooked. We took footage from the ceremony walk through and mixed in footage of the actually wedding day ceremony and created a unique before and after effect. We wanted to tell the story of how the night before the wedding is every bit as important as the day of the wedding yet a lot more relaxed and informal. We also have footage of the dinner rehearsal showing interaction between the bride and groom with their closest family and friends. We hope everyone enjoys this highlight as it shines light on some of the things that take place behind the scenes just before wedding day.
